Assignment 9A - Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

It came to my attention from a classmate's response to one of previous blogs that the idea of a parking app was already spoken about by Professor Pryor, and he said the costs to accomplish this are too high and the University of Florida has already rejected similar proposals. This idea came to my mind before ever watching the lecture and I did not realize he said this, so for the sake of things I will just continue the idea for the assignment and in the future I may come up with a potential way to avoid these huge costs and find a way to make the app successful.

Who: Based on two interviews with a female and male student on campus they both separately brought up a good point that I heard from the last set of interviews, and they said that people who have been driving to campus know the parking areas pretty well and have a good idea of when parking is and is not available. They felt the app might be better suited for students who are new to campus or for people who are visiting. Another good point that was brought up is the price of the app. A different female student that I interviewed brought up the costs of the app, as she said some people may be hesitant to purchase an app like this because more than likely it will be fairly high priced and people have already spend so much on decals and just life. She also asked if it would have a one time cost, or would there be timely payments so you only pay when you're in school or just visiting for the day. A faculty member that I spoke with mentioned that parents may be difficult to convince to get the app. If they are visiting their children they are usually told by the student which places they can probably park and which lots will most likely be open. The faculty I interviewed also mentioned that she's seen parents just park wherever and oftentimes they will get tickets. Due to the available parking being so far away or the available lots being full, the parents will often just park wherever available.

What: When I asked the individuals what they felt is the real issue with parking I got one response from the first female whom I interviewed that really stood out to me. She mentioned that parking is basically an issue everywhere, and if you really waited to find a spot you could. The issue isn't always finding a spot, she said a big problem is finding parking close to where you need to be. She gave an example in a nutshell, "If I need to get to Library West, and the only parking I can find is on Frat Row that would mean I have to walk over a mile or so to get there if I don't bus. At that point I might as well just bus because I won't find close parking". I believe the problem of finding parking on campus is still a big issue, but she brought up a good point that even if you find parking it is not always convenient.

Why: After the interviews I felt that the need of the outsiders' was not necessarily different. Parking is still difficult to find, but students/individuals who have dealt with it for awhile have adjusted and learned to cope with it. The app isn't creating new parking, it is more providing information to individuals who are not used to the situation.

Inside the Boundary                                          Outside the Boundary

Who: Newer students not used to campus                        Students who have been parking on campus
           parking.                                                                   for awhile.

Visitors for large events on campus.                        Individuals who don't want to spend money
                                                                                           on something so niche/luxury.

What: A service for parking                                              A way to increase parking.

Information on where you can and                         A way to make the parking areas more

Assingment 8A - Solving The Problem

I talked a bit about my product on assignment 7A, and what I am planning to sell is an app for your phone that will be used to assist in parking on college campuses. The app will relay information to the user that will tell them which parking spaces are open for specific lots. The app will also allow the user to input if they have a decal or not, and the app will give corresponding information to what lots they can and cannot park at and during what time. Also included in what products I will be selling, is the sensor technology for the app. A sensor needs to be created that will be able to be placed into outside parking lots and also parking garages that can withstand all types of weather without getting messed up. The sensor will know if a car is parked in a spot or if the spot is available.

I am planning on selling the app to anyone who deals with vehicle parking on college campuses (scooter lots not included). This could be students, faculty, staff, parents, and all kinds of visitors. The sensor technology will be placed on college campuses, so the customer would have to be who is in charge for parking/high authorities on the college campuses. If these products works well on college campuses I am hoping to move forward and sell these products to other large areas like those that hold sporting events and other large events.

Assignment 7A - Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

Opportunity: College Campus Parking App

Parking on college campuses can be a nightmare, as most lots are generally full and it can be difficult to determine what areas you can and can't park at and during which times. I've seen parking garages in larger cities that tell you how many spots are available on each floor. If there was a way to utilize these sensors on parking areas in and outside parking garages and send the data to an app then the idea could work. I am proposing the idea of an app that will let the individual user know what parking spot is available to them during a given time by having sensors in parking areas that will tell the app if the spot is available or currently taken. By letting the app know if you have a certain decal or do not have a decal it should be able to tell the user which parking lots and spots are available to them at the current time.
  • Who: Colleges professors, students, parents, faculty, and all types of visitors who come to college campuses
  • What: Finding parking on college campuses
  • Why: Finding parking on college campuses can often be difficult because many people drive to campus and have to put their cars somewhere
Testing the Who: This need is bigger than college campuses. In many big cities parking can be nearly impossible, and people who visit these places are often confused of where they can and cannot park. Anyone who has a car potentially has been in a situation where they couldn't find parking or they weren't sure if they could park in a spot without being towed.

Testing the What: I don't believe the app needs to cover every single parking space, because obviously that seems impossible. I feel that the app could work for large popular areas, such as college campuses, large sporting event areas, large city parking lots, and a few other large areas.

Testing the Why: As long as we still have cars, parking will more than likely be an issue because people need to get to certain places. I feel that this opportunity will continue to exist and that's why I feel it can be exploited. I feel that an app is a good way to approach this opportunity, because technology is continuing to grow and many people have access to it in someway.

Interview #1 - UF student, early 20's female, 2nd year student
When asked about parking on campus, she expressed difficulty with the matter. She said she only drives when she absolutely has to. The idea of the app got a good response and she said she would love it if it could actually be a thing. She said she has used the parking garages before that let you know how many spots are left and she says they can often be misleading or incorrect. She liked the idea and said she would be interested in the app if it worked properly. Also, she felt that if it could work at UF then it definitely had potential to be used in other large areas.

Interview #2 - UF employee at the Reitz, 30-40's male
The man interviewed said parking can get pretty crazy, but because he comes to work early it generally is not a problem. He did acknowledge the issue though, and thought the app was a neat idea. He personally said he would not use it for UF, but said there is potential for other large areas if the technology actually worked. He said he is not a big tech guy, so the app would need to be very simple to use.

Interview #3 - UF student, early 20's male, 3rd year student
He went on for a bit about how frustrating parking on campus can be and how he is often late to class. He said there's been times where hes circled a lot for 20-30 minutes and not even found a spot. He says he has resorted to using the bus a bit, but the route doesn't come by very frequently. He said if the app could actually work and was reliable he would definitely look into it. He also expressed a cost concern, because he felt that an app that useful would have to be fairly pricey. He expressed a similar reaction to the others who were interviewed in that if the technology was reliable then it could for certain be used elsewhere in larger areas. One concern he had though was that the technology may be delayed and by the time you go a spot that you think is open then it might be taken by someone.

Interview #4 - UF teacher's assistant, female
She said she's been dealing with parking at UF for just over 3 years, and she has a decent understanding on when and when not to drive. If she has to get to campus early she will drive, otherwise she said she rides the bus. She said her first year at UF was a nightmare to find parking and she was often confused about which spots she could park at. She felt the app was cool, but said it would be difficult to actually accomplish and difficult for the school to allow you to use them to make money. She was uncertain about how the technology would work outside and if it would be affected by weather or other factors. Overall, she felt it was a good idea and could potentially be used in larger ares, but suggested to test the technology on smaller areas and perfecting it before moving forward.

Interview #5 - UF student, early 20's female, 1st year student
She said that she uses a scooter to get campus and says that parking can occasionally be difficult, but people just cram their scooters into spots and create room. She said the app would be a good idea, but wasn't sure if it could be used for scooters because there is not defined spots. She doesn't think she would use the app unless she has a car, and she mentioned that the car parking does seems a bit hectic and confusing. She liked the idea and felt that enough people would probably use it. She thought highly the idea of using the technology and app in other large areas, she was just a bit concerned of the technology being accurate and not having a huge delay with the data.

What I learned: I learned the app has potential and that people think highly of the app. I also learned students, staff, and faculty would potentially be interested in the app, but it depends how often they drive to campus. I feel that the opportunity is there for college campuses (well at least UF), but only if the technology is accurate, durable to weather and doesn't have huge delays in sending parking data. Getting the technology to accomplish this seems a bit of a daunting task, but with the brains and technology I've seen today I know it is possible to do. The opportunity is for sure bigger than just college campuses as many of the people interviewed thought highly of the technology moving to other large areas if it is reliable and not crazy expensive. Lastly, I'm not sure how it would be accomplished, but campuses and areas would have to allow the technology to be implemented. Maybe if they received a bit of compensation then they would jump on board.

Assignment 6A - Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends

Economic Trend: "Climate Change is Causing More Natural Disasters"

    • Source: https://www.thebalance.com/top-usa-future-economic-trends-3305666
    • Fire frequency in the Western U.S. has increased by 400% since 1970. The U.S. Forest Service spent almost $2.5 billion last year because of fires, which is $1.1 billion more than in 2016. An opportunity for a more efficient way to fight fires could be possible, since more fires are occurring and are costing a lot of money.
    • The prototypical customers are local and state forest services in the Western U.S.
    • I believe this would be a difficult opportunity to exploit, because coming up with a more efficient way to do something forest services have been doing for a long time is difficult. This would probably require some new sort of technology, which takes a lot of knowledge and money to build correctly. Also, you would have to pitch the idea and be able to get the technology out to multiple places around the U.S.
    • I see this as an opportunity because I have dealt with forestry and fires. I got my undergraduate degree in Forest Resources & Conservation from the University of Florida so I feel that i have a decent understanding of how these forest services are fighting these fires.
Economic Trend: "Winning the Hearts and Wallets of Millennial"
    • Source: https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/pages/consumer-business/articles/sports-business-trends-disruption.html#4
    • This opportunity exist because there is a trend in working to reach millennials by digital advertising. This trend has been going on for awhile, and companies have shown that it has been working. There could be a potential to use marketing ideas to improve how companies are advertising.
    • The prototypical customers are companies that working to target millennials
    •  I feel that this opportunity would not be too difficult to exploit because there are many companies who want to advertise towards millennials and would love to find a way to improve their advertising.
    • I saw this as an opportunity because as a millennial I feel that I could contribute a lot of ideas to this. I also found this as an opportunity because I see digital advertising everyday and I constantly think of ways companies could improve them.
Regulatory Trend: "Trump Administration Rolls Back Plans to Raise Fuel Economy Standards for Autos"
    • Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/02/trump-administration-rolls-back-plans-to-raise-fuel-economy-standards.html
    • Due to the standards being lowered for fuel economy this can lead to different technology being created to combat this standard in vehicles. Now vehicles need to be able to reach 37 mpg instead of 50 mpg by 2026. This means more greenhouse gases will be emitted per mile under this regulation. A new technology to combat these emissions could be possible.
    • The customer base for this technology would be car companies, and customers who want to lower their emissions.
    • This opportunity would be difficult to exploit, because it is dealing with creating new technology. Engineers and scientists are constantly working to create new ways to deal with emissions so the market may be difficult to enter and be successful.
    • I believe this opportunity exist because something has to be done. The regulation is in place so something must be done if more emissions are going to occur than planed.
Regulatory Trend: "FDA Food Safety and Modernization Act"
    • Source: https://www.fda.gov/Food/GuidanceRegulation/FSMA/default.htm
    • This act was put in place to focus on food safety and preventing foodborne illness. This creates an opportunity for new ways to test food safety and check for illnesses.
    • The prototypical customers would be food safety companies and food regulatory groups who would like a better way to check and inspect food.
    • This opportunity would be fairly difficult to exploit because there are already tools and technology to inspect food that are in place, but with the right amount of money and knowledge it is possible to improve the methods in place.
    • I believe this opportunity exist the act is already in place and something has to be done. There is already technology in place to check for food safety, but it could be done better.

Assignment 5A - Identifying Local Opportunities

     1. Article: "Ticked off! @work slackers" - Orlando Sentinel
    • https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&t=pubname%3AORLB%21Orlando%2BSentinel%252C%2BThe%2B%2528FL%2529/year%3A2018%212018/mody%3A0908%21September%2B08&f=advanced&action=browse&format=text&docref=news/16E4E74732C9D0D8
    • Summary: This article was written on September 8th, 2018, in the a column of the Orlando Sentinel called "ticked off!". I am assuming this is a column where people anonymously talk about what current frustrations they have. In this particular article, the individual mentions about five issues that they are ticked off about, but there were two main issues that they focused on. This individual first mentioned their frustrations with grocery stores and how people never return their carts unless it is a type of grocery store where you put in a quarter to receive a cart. This individual is adamant that carts are always returned in stores where you have to pay for the cart and all grocery stores should be like this. The second main issue this individual had is when random phone numbers call you for a short period of time and then proceed to hang up, or if you answer they do not say anything. This individual believes this is an invasion of privacy and something should be done.
    • Problem: People do not return their shopping carts in grocery stores that do not make you insert a quarter to use them. Random phone numbers call you and hang up after a short period, or these random numbers who call do not say anything when you answer.
    • Who is affected: I believe that most individuals have been affected by these issues at some point. If you go to a grocery store or have a cell phone, you have most likely dealt with this issue first hand. I know I have been to the store and have seen multiple shopping carts in the parking lot and in random places. Also, I get a minimum of one random phone number calling me a day. I stopped answering them because it's weird, and for some reason their number is usually very similar to mine.
     2. Article: "Avocado harvest time tricky to determine" by Tom MacCubbin - Orlando Sentinel
    • https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/openurl?ctx_ver=z39.88-2004&rft_id=info%3Asid/infoweb.newsbank.com&svc_dat=WORLDNEWS&req_dat=0D0CB57BE7FF6D8A&rft_val_format=info%3Aofi/fmt%3Akev%3Amtx%3Actx&rft_dat=document_id%3Anews%252F16E4E7471AFB7C68
    • Summary: This article was written September 8th, 2018, and it is a Q&A article dealing with gardening and local horticulture. A few of the issues that the article answers were dealing with harvest times of certain produce such as avocados and pineapples. Other issues people had were dealing with the proper planting times of certain plants and another question that was mentioned dealt with disease and removal of tree roots. The answers in the article were very thorough and well thought out, making it easy for a non-horticultural specialist to understand.
    • Problem: People are uncertain about many subjects dealing with gardening and horticulture. Some of these problems include the correct time to harvest/plant, tree fruiting, and disease and tree removal.
    • Who is affected: I feel that individuals who deal with landscaping, gardening or horticulture often face uncertainty when performing tasks and they are not sure what to do. There are so many different types of plants that are affected in many different ways so people often get confused on how to deal with them.
     3. Article: "Charters struggling to pay required resource officers" by Leslie Postal - Orlando Sentinel
    • https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&t=pubname%3AORLB%21Orlando%2BSentinel%252C%2BThe%2B%2528FL%2529/year%3A2018%212018/mody%3A0909%21September%2B09&f=advanced&action=browse&format=text&docref=news/16E53CB435085310
    • Summary: This article was written on September 9th, 2018, and it is about two charter schools in the Winter Garden area that are wanting to buy new computers for the school year. The issue these schools are facing is that this year their budget has been affected because a new law was put in place in response to the shooting that occurred in Parkland, FL. The new law now requires schools to have an armed resource officer on campus, and to accomplish this the resource officers need to be paid. The issue schools are facing is how to come up with the funds to pay these required officers. Schools have came out and said that they are not opposed to having the officers, but the issue is coming up with a way to pay them.
    • Problem: Schools in Florida are now required to have an armed resource officer and the schools are expected to come up with the money to pay them. Many schools are struggling with the wages and budgets are being affected.
    • Who is affected: All schools in the state of Florida are affected by this law. Some schools have shown larger issues with the new law, and some schools are not struggling at all.
     4. Article: "Gas, oil prices swirl upward as Gordon threatens Gulf Coast" by Kyle Arnold - Orlando Sentinel
    • https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&t=pubname%3AORLB%21Orlando%2BSentinel%252C%2BThe%2B%2528FL%2529/year%3A2018%212018/mody%3A0905%21September%2B05&f=advanced&action=browse&format=text&docref=news/16E3EEA90E75EB68
    • Summary: This article was written on September 5th, 2018, and is about how the prices of gas and oil on the east coast are beginning to rise due to Hurricane Gordon's path. The hurricane is expected be a category 1 when it lands and 4-8 inches of rain are expected. The current path it is on now will not be that big of an issue for oil companies, but if the hurricane shifts west it could cause an issue. The oil refineries are located west of the path and could potentially be affected, but analyst have little concern as they have dealt with hurricanes in the past. Gas was up $0.04 and crude oil was up 1%.
    • Problem: Oil refineries are slightly threatened by hurricane Gordon, and in response the price of gas and oil has slightly risen.
    • Who is affected: Gas and oil companies near the Gulf Coast and also anyone who lives or uses these products near the Gulf Coast.
     5. Article: "Measles cases break 10-year record" by Naseem S. Miller - Orlando Sentinel
    • https://infoweb.newsbank.com/apps/news/document-view?p=WORLDNEWS&t=pubname%3AORLB%21Orlando%2BSentinel%252C%2BThe%2B%2528FL%2529/year%3A2018%212018/mody%3A0902%21September%2B02&f=advanced&action=browse&format=text&docref=news/16E2F09441B58000
    • Summary: This article was written September 2nd, 2018, and it is about how there have been 11 cases of the measles this year in Florida, which is the most cases in over a decade. The health department believes this record breaking year is due to a higher measles activity across the globe and more affected individuals coming to Florida. All 11 cases were individuals who had never gotten their measles shots, and nationwide the number of people affected by measles is already higher than the past two years. There is no cure for measles, there is only prevention by getting the vaccine.
    • Problem: More people than usual in Florida and around the United States are being affected by the disease called measles. More people are being affected because they do not have the vaccine and more people with the disease are travelling from other countries to Florida and throughout the United States.
    • Who is affected: Floridians with the measles vaccination and people throughout the United States who do not have the vaccination.

Assignment 4A - Forming An Opportunity Belief

I believe there is an opportunity that exists for a clean up service that focuses on parties or large events. Living in Gainesville, a college town known for partying, I have witnessed first hand how destroyed a house or venue can become during a frat party or a football game tailgate. Beer stained floors, throw-up in places where it should not be and mud tracked nearly everywhere possible. After everyone leaves the party, the property owner and maybe a few other stay to help clean up and minimize whatever damage was dealt. Property owners are left with a dirty mess after many of these parties, and working to clean up the mess can be very difficult especially if the owner has been drinking or if they are experiencing a hangover. This need is not new, because large parties or events have occurred for a very long time and the mess they leave is still ever present. Someone has to clean up the damage that has been done to the property and I am suggesting that there be a company that focuses on cleaning up these events so the property owner does not have to. Currently in Gainesville there are plenty of maids and cleaning services that provide standard and deep cleaning, but these companies do not offer a party clean up service. I have found one company that does offer before/after party clean up but it took awhile to find them. I believe with the proper advertising and awareness to the public there could be a good market for this service. As of now, I believe there is around a 60% chance that this opportunity exist.

Prototypical customer: Home owners, or any property owner that may ever throw a party. Probably younger owners, because I feel that they would throw larger parties.

Interview #1 - Early 20's female, home owner in Gaineville:

  1. Have you ever thrown any large parties at your house, or thrown any parties that have left your house in a mess?
    • We've had a few pre-game parties and some football parties before the game starts, but nothing too crazy.
  2. Have you found yourself ever struggling to clean up after these parties?
    • Not really. The parties were never too crazy and it was people we knew so it never got out of hand. The clean up wasn't too difficult.
  3. How do you usually deal with the mess left after parties?
    • Usually my roommates and I will pick up the trash the next morning and wipe everything down if the party go on for too long that night or if we get a little too tipsy.
  4. How long have you dealt with cleaning up after parties, and has it ever been an issue?
    • My roommates and I have know each other for awhile and we get along pretty well. We just moved into this house last fall, so we've had to deal with the clean ups for maybe a year or so.
  5. Do you ever believe you would throw a party where you would need a company's help to clean up after it was over?
    • Having a companies help? Most likely not, because that sounds expensive and the parties have never left that big of a mess.
  6. Would you feel more comfortable having a larger party at your house if you knew there was a company that would clean the mess up after for a reasonable price?
    • I think I would feel more comfortable knowing I don't have to clean up after, but I don't see us throwing a large party or actually paying someone to clean up after it.
Interview #2 - Early to mid 20's male, home owner in Gainesville:
  1. Have you ever thrown any large parties at your house, or thrown any parties that have left your house in a mess?
    • There's been a few crazy ones I would say, but we usually keep it under control.
  2. Have you found yourself ever struggling to clean up after these parties?
    • It's gotten pretty messy before during some of the bigger ones. The clean up can take awhile but it gets done eventually.
  3. How do you usually deal with the mess left after parties?
    • Sometime friends will stay and help a bit if it's bad, and my roommates help too.
  4. How long have you dealt with cleaning up after parties, and has it ever been an issue?
    • We've been throwing parties for awhile, and there's maybe been two or three that have been real rough to clean up.
  5. Do you ever believe you would throw a party where you would need a company's help to clean up after it was over?
    • I don't know about that, it sounds expensive. I guess if the price was reasonable maybe, but it really depends on the party.
  6. Would you feel more comfortable having a larger party at your house if you knew there was a company that would clean the mess up after for a reasonable price?
    • If the price was pretty low and my roommates and friends wanted to pitch in a bit of money so we didn't have to pick it up then maybe.
Interview #3 - Mid to late 20's female, home owner in Gainesville
  1. Have you ever thrown any large parties at your house, or thrown any parties that have left your house in a mess?
    • There were a few pretty big ones back when I was in college, but now, not so much.
  2. Have you found yourself ever struggling to clean up after these parties?
    • It's been a few years, and I remember a few were a pain to pick up after.
  3. How do you usually deal with the mess left after parties?
    • Back then we would just suck it up and clean it. It took awhile sometimes, but it got done.
  4. How long have you dealt with cleaning up after parties, and has it ever been an issue?
    • I've dealt with it for a few years, but recently it hasn't been an issue. Now that I'm married things are pretty tame around the house.
  5. Do you ever believe you would throw a party where you would need a company's help to clean up after it was over?
    • There were some crazy parties before, but we were so broke I couldn't actually see us paying for a service like that.
  6. Would you feel more comfortable having a larger party at your house if you knew there was a company that would clean the mess up after for a reasonable price?
    • Back when I was throwing parties like that if I was more financially stable, I could see myself maybe throwing more parties. Now, we don't have parties like that, so I don't believe I'd ever use it.
Reflection: From the interviews I found that many young home owners do throw some sort of party at some point. The size of the party tends to vary based on the individual and their preference, and often times they seem to be comfortable cleaning up their own mess. It seems that the idea of a party clean up company could be possible, but the thought of having to pay throws people off. If the price is fairly low I feel that there may be potential buyers, but I need to take into account that many young adults do not have endless funds to spend on whatever. This seems almost like a luxury item where people with more money would potentially use it, but I still cannot fully come to that conclusion.

Summary: I still feel that there is an opportunity for this service, but I am not as confident after conducting the interviews. I am not sure there would be enough business to support only a party clean up company, but I feel that it could be a specialized part of a normal clean up company. In the beginning I felt that young college students would the main target, and I still feel this way. After all the interviews it seems like most people already have a system of cleaning up the mess that is created, but if the price of a company clean up is cheap enough then there may be a place for this opportunity, but I would not bet all my money on this single idea.

Assignment 3A - My Entrepreneurship Story

I remember being exposed to entrepreneurship my freshman year when my friend Anthony and I decided we wanted to make a bit of money. What we noticed is that many students often complained about always being hungry, and often they would spend money on vending machines although the snack options were not great. Our school went on a health craze and removed all unhealthy snacks from the vending machines like candy and honey buns, and replaced them with healthy snacks like dried fruits and granola bars. My friend and I noticed that even though this change occurred to the vending machines in our school, students still wanted candy and unhealthy food. We both decided a great way to make money would be sell candy to these students. Before we started selling candy we needed to actually get our products that we would sell.

We decided to get candy from Sam's Club, which sells items in bulk and for a cheaper price per unit. We bought the 32 variety pack of Skittles and Starburst, because we felt that a variety of different types of each candy would appeal to more people. We bought the variety pack for around $20 and we sold each individual pack of candy for $1 each, giving us a profit of around $10-$12 for each 32 count box if we didn't eat any of the candy ourselves or give away candy to friends for free. Our little business stayed quite successful for about a week or two until we were shut down by teachers and staff who said we weren't allowed to sell candy in school. While it lasted it was fun, and we made good money. It was my most memorable experience with entrepreneurship and I truly enjoyed it.

I enrolled in this course because I needed to take an elective for my grad program. I am getting a Masters of Agribusiness so I figured that a course in entrepreneurship would be somewhat relevant to my degree and actually benefit me more than a different elective. Also, I figured that entrepreneurship would be an interesting course to take learn about. Lastly, because it was an online class and it meant I did not have to come to campus made the course very ideal for my schedule.
